I have been an International Mountain Guide IFMGA since 2018, a graduate of the National School of Ski & Alpinism in France (ENSA), Rock Climbing Instructor and Assistant Instructor Mountaineering & Mountaineering Ski of the Hellenic Federation Mountaineering & Climbing.

When did you first start your discipline?

I was born in Piraeus, but I work and live in Ioannina west Greece, a town located next to a lake and surrounded by mountains. I started mountaineering and climbing at the age of 18. Since then, I have climbed most of the slopes and peaks of the Greek mountains.

What do you most enjoy about your sport?

I’m passionate about mountains! And I like to explore them at any time of the year through hiking, climbing or ski touring.

What are your hobbies, profession outside of your sport?

I can’t think of anything I’m in love with nature and that’s my hobby.

Who or what inspires you?

Guiding people who are looking for unique experiences in nature and sharing my passion for the mountains of my country with them, really makes me enjoy my job and it’s like having fun with friends! These are my inspirers.

Describe your perfect day:

Beautiful moments with my wife and son outside in nature.

Achievements & future projects:

Some of the mountaineering experiences that changed my life were the climbing of the North Face of the Matterhorn 4,478m, as well as the Greek expeditions to Pamir – Khan Tengri 7,010m in Korzinefskaya 7,105m and Kumunism 7,495m as a member of the National Greek Expedition in Everest at 1996.

From 2006 to 2018 I was an athlete in Mountaineering ski, having been the first Greek to finish the difficult race series in Europe Grande Course, at 2014 PIERRA MENTA, 2015 TROFEO MEZZALAMA, 2016 PATROUILLE DES GLACIERS, 2017 ADAMELLO SKI RAID and 2018 TOUR DU RUTOR.

Since 2007 I have been a trainer in Schools of Mountaineering Ski and since 2015 in Schools of Rock Climbing Beginners and Middle Level of the Hellenic Federation of Mountaineering & Climbing, until today. Since 2017, I have been teaching at a Public School for Mountain Leaders.
